However,Nguzu Edda de traditional headquarters of Edda,is a city on de White Hill which means Ugwu Nzu.It is belived to be one of de earliest settlements in Ebonyi,having established when de traditional royal court was set up at Atamata Nguzu Edda. *

More so,Like any other community,yam is belived to be the king of their variety of crops.So ikeji in Edda is celebration of Harvest.The ceremonies marking de festival transcend harvesting and eating of yams.Its was and still more like a political congregation of sorts,a unifying forum and realignment of political stake holders and their friends. *

Lastly,it is much more of merry making with sumptuous meals including our local staple soup,egburuegbuserved on that day...So this year's ikeji festival is to be on this month August but i will get you all informed the date.You can also check out the images.Thanks *
